BS&S provides basic information for beginner and experienced boaters about power boating, including PWC operations. Learn which boat is right for you, equipment for your boat, trailering, handling on the water, highway signs, the rules you must follow, piloting, lines and knots, weather, marine radio procedures and more. The course qualifies as a Safe Boating course in the State of Florida.
The next Boating Safety and Seamanship, BSS, class is planned to begin on 04 Feb. 2008. It will meet from 7:00-9:00 PM on Monday and Thursday evenings at Lemon Bay Park. The cost is $40 per person or $50 per married couple that share a book. Contact Lee Waters, 697-9435, if you are interested.

The ABC course includes a variety of information covering general information on boats and maintenance, information to make boating safer and more comfortable, tips on boating courtesy, and boating laws and regulations.
